This Privacy Policy explains how Routix Dash (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use routix-dash.com, the Routix Dash app, and related services.
Data controller
Routix Dash is the data controller for personal information processed through routix-dash.com and related services. For privacy-related requests, contact us at support@routix-dash.com.
Information we collect
No account, no email, no name. Your configuration and the data from your sources stay on your device; the app does not send them to us. The app sends crash reports and, unless you turn it off, anonymous app usage data, with no personal data.
Crash reports
When Routix Dash crashes or hits an unexpected error, the app sends a crash report with technical details about the error, the app version and the device. Crash reports contain no personal data and nothing from your configuration or your data. They are used only to fix bugs and are deleted automatically after a limited time.
App usage data
Unless you turn off Share anonymous usage statistics in the app's Settings, the app also sends anonymous statistics about which features are used and how the app performs. They contain no personal data and nothing from your configuration or your data. They are used only to improve the app, never for advertising or tracking, and are deleted automatically after a limited time.
Local password-protected backups
The app can create password-protected configuration exports and similar portable backups under your control (for example saved or shared from your device). These backups may include connection settings, data source and destination credentials, certificates, and other secrets from your setup.
We do not receive the encryption password you choose for those local files, and we do not receive those files.
Purchase data
Pro purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The purchase is kept on your device; we do not store Pro purchase records. We never see or store your payment card data or your Apple ID payment details.
Website cookies
The website sets no cookies and does not use advertising or cross-site tracking.
AI assistant
When you use the AI assistant, the app sends prompts, conversation, and related context from your device directly to the language-model provider you configure. That includes images you paste into the chat and, when you turn on Render previews in AI Permissions, pictures the app draws of your data pieces and screens with their live data.
Our servers do not receive, store, or process that AI communication. We are not the controller of data you send to that provider.
If you turn on the in-app MCP server, AI agents you connect to it (for example, an AI app on your computer) can read and change your configuration and read live data.
With the AI Permissions you turn on, such as See and move the app screen or Render previews, they also get pictures of the app screen and of your data pieces and screens with their live data. The app sends this directly to the agent over your network, not through our servers; the agent may pass it on to its own AI provider under that provider's terms.
API keys and provider settings stay in the encrypted configuration on your device. AI chat traffic never passes through our servers.
The provider processes what you send under its own terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for what you send and for that relationship. See also the Terms of Service.
How we use information
- Operate the website.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- Improve reliability and support quality.
- Diagnose and fix app crashes.
- Measure app stability and understand which features are used, to improve the app.
Legal bases for processing (EEA & UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal information on the following bases:
- Contract. To provide the app and related services you request.
- Legitimate interests. To secure the service, enforce rate limits, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and keep the app stable and improve it by receiving crash reports and app usage data, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation. Where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with infrastructure providers that help us operate the service (for example, website hosting or receiving crash reports and app usage data), and with Apple, which processes purchases — only as needed to provide the service or comply with law.
International transfers
We may use service providers located outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. When personal information is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections approved for cross-border data transfers.
Deleting your data
Your configuration is stored only on your device. You can delete it at any time in the app or by deleting the app. Crash reports and app usage data are deleted automatically after a limited time.
We may retain minimal operational logs (for example, security and abuse-prevention records) for a limited time as required to operate the service or comply with law. These logs are not used to restore your data.
Your rights (EEA & UK)
If GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to receive a portable copy of data you provided. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
You can delete your data on your device yourself at any time, as described under Deleting your data. For other questions, email support@routix-dash.com. We respond within one month.
Your choices
- You can use the free app without a purchase.
- You can turn off Share anonymous usage statistics in the app's Settings at any time; see App usage data above.
- You can delete your data on your device at any time, as described in Deleting your data above.
Password-protected configuration backups
If you create a password-protected configuration backup, you control the encryption password and where the file is stored or sent.
Because these backups can contain connection secrets, data source credentials, and certificates, you are responsible for using a strong password and for any redistribution of the backup file. Weak passwords or sharing the file (or its password) with others can expose those secrets. See also the Terms of Service.
